Coronado, California

Options for getting around the island include walking, driving, renting a bike, taking a pedicab ride, taxis, the city bus, gondola, trolley, Coronado Shuttle and Coronado Ferry. The Hotel del Coronado is an architectural marvel even today and can be viewed from public access points at Coronado City Beach and on Orange Avenue. Some of the hotel’s photos and objects can be seen at the Museum of History and Art Explore Ferry Landing Marketplace at the foot of First Street with its shops, restaurants and stunning views of downtown San Diego. You can also take a 15-minute ferry ride between Coronado and San Diego. Ferry leaves Coronado every hour on the half hour. Browse for antiques, pick-up a Coronado souvenir or people watch on Orange Avenue, Coronado’s main street. Coronado has more than 80 cafes and restaurants, offering seafood, American fare, ethnic cuisine; many offer outdoor dining so you can also enjoy Coronado’s enviable weather. Just across the Coronardo Bridge from San Diego or a 15 minute Ferry Ride
